April-2010 and the colors are emerging one by one. A few of the grasses are greening up. The fruit trees are budding but no blooms yet. We moved the tomatoes and peppers outside to the green house to get some sun but we're still heating them at night. The trees are budding and I'm holding my breath... no more real cold weather... please. |

The colors are increasing each day, granted nothing new and spectacular but such a welcome change from cold gray clouds and brown sticks. It's only the 5th so hang on, Spring is just getting started. [11th] Our Peony is up and the Nectarine is the first fruit tree to bloom. The Crab Apple is just starting to Open |

The little fall bulbs keep popping up here and there. We still need to thin out the Daffofils because they are crowded and many are not blooming. Below are the Hyacinths. Slowly the pink ones are taking over. |

Are we starting to get serious now! The left tulip was begging for a close-up and it's cousin on the right. Does Spring have more color or were we just tired of the brown and gray of Winter? PJM, Sweet Cherry and Apricot wow. |
||
| I don't have a small photo that does this Snow Fountain Cherry [left] justice. See our Plum on the right, she's just a baby. Below, the spring shade bed is blooming. | ||
| Day by day, the apple trees and pear trees are just starting to open along with the Cascading Peach. Below is a Bleeding Heart and Dwarf Cinquefoil. | ||
| No doubt, the flowering trees are pulling everyone's eyes skyward but don't forget to look downward because this might be our one of our best Springs ever. Still one week of April left. | ||
| I can't help myself. This is the best April ever! After two tries, we finally have a 'Basket of Gold' and please enjoy this Peony Tulip that comes back year after year. |
