Routine pieces skill sets for Level 1 & 2's

[RP-01] (a) Starting a floor routine (salute, starting position, arms lift upward)

*(1) 1-arm salute alerts judge that you are ready, (2) Find the location where the routine will begin. A momentary straight stand with arms down (frozen penguin), (3) The judge starts judging when the athlete moves their arms.

[RP-01] (b) Ending a floor routine

  • After a controlled landing,
  • Straight stand both arms up,
  • Turn toward the judge and salute with 1-arm again.

* The two arms up stand must face in the routines intended direction (USA athletes can earn +0.2 stick bonus)

Routine pieces skill set for Level 3 & 4's

Level 4 tuck jump comes out of a forward roll.

  1. Body is stretched on touch down.
  2. Bend knees to absorb landing, arms drop to side horizontal.
  3. Kill any left over forward momentum by bringing arms around the side to forward.

Backward roll extension to front support, to seal stretch...

Routines 3 - 4 - 5's

  1. Amerikids 3 is different than USA
  2. USA-Level 3 is Level 4 with no bonus
  1. Amerikids allows bonus skills but does not award the points,
  2. USA allows bonus skills and awards virtuosity points,
  3. Max. starting value for 4's is 11.7
  1. Amerikids allows bonus elements but does not award points,
  2. USA allows 3 bonus elements & 1-virtuousity element,
  3. 10.0 + 1.5 + 0.5 +0.2 = Max of 12.2.
